Fix all steam controller issues lol:

right click space war in steam. go to controller. click the GREY UNDERLINED LINK that says Controller Configurator. Click disable steam input at the top right. this will control all OFME games that run off steam. This also works for other games you're having trouble with. Only use steam input if a game doesnt work with steam input disabled. You can attempt to set this globally but I've had mixed results. Some non steam games even have issues with controls if steam is open. I wish they would make steam input disabled by default. shrug.

Can I use mods and play online? Because I tested with wemod but every time I play online with mods I get disconnected.

Not sure then. Try the other settings in steam settings like playstation or nintendo controller support. If nothing works you can always try something like x360ce which will trick games into thinking your using a 360 controller.

@fdcadf Another option people unable to use their controllers could try, is to go to the Steam Overlay while in-game, clicking on "Controller Settings", and clicking the option to change the CONTROLLER LAYOUT that's pre-configured for Spacewar, then, you just have to click on the "COMMUNITY LAYOUTS" tab on top of the window, and you should be able to see some Layouts that you can apply for the game. Just select the Layout you maybe deduce will work on this game in particular and see if it works.
